Early-maturing calabrese with a tightly packed green main head that produces many tasty side shoots after harvest. White rust resistant and ideal for freezing. Milder in flavour than sprouting broccoli and suited to a shorter growing season for quicker results. Sow March–April and harvest August–September; pack contains approximately 60 seeds. Annual plant reaching about 600 mm; best grown in full sun in patios, small gardens, raised beds or vegetable plots. Avoid disturbing roots and protect young brassicas with netting or bird scarers.
