Wera 851/1 BDC BiTorsion Diamond Coated Long Service Life bit, for Phillips screws. Often bits break as they can’t handle the peak stress put upon them, the tip breaks and damage is also often caused to the screw head. Wera designed the BiTorsion system to prevent premature wear and significantly increase the service life of the bit. The system uses a two-stage cushioning process which allows smaller impacts to be absorbed by the bit holder, and high impacts to be cushioned in the torsion zone of the bit. Tiny Diamond particles on the drive tip ‘bite’ into the screw head, creating a perfect fit and therefore prevent cam-out from occurring.
