Sika®-1 Waterproofer 25ltr
Sika®-1 is a normal setting liquid waterproofing admixture for mortar and concrete. It enhances the impermeability of cementitious systems by blocking capillaries and pores, providing an effective barrier against liquid water transmission. This ready-to-use and easily dispersed solution is chloride-free, making it ideal for various waterproofing applications.

Where to Use:
- Waterproofing of mortars and concrete, including renders, masonry mortars, and screeds.
- Reinforced and unreinforced concrete structures.
- Brick, concrete, and stone substrates.
- Indoor and outdoor applications, such as basements, swimming pools, tunnels, water tanks, manholes, and culverts.
- Ideal for tropical and hot climate conditions.
Application:
- Shake or stir Sika®-1 slowly before use to ensure a homogeneous consistency.
- It should be diluted in the gauging water before adding to the mortar/concrete mix.
- Sika®-1 can also be added neat to the mix, ensuring proper mixing to achieve a uniform consistency.
- Ensure the substrate is clean and free from contaminants before application.
Recommended Dosage:
- Add one part of Sika®-1 to 10 parts of water (equivalent to approximately 3% of cement content, or 0.75 liters per 25kg of cement).
- For very wet sand, increase the ratio to 1:8, or in extreme cases, 1:6.
- Note: Trial mixes should always be conducted to establish the exact dosage rates and water requirements per mix.
Cleaning:
- Clean tools and equipment immediately after use with water to prevent residue buildup.
