Uses– This adapter is used withDMX equipment to allow 3 Pin DMX and 5 Pin DMX cables to be used togethereasily.
Wiring- The XLR 5 pin DMXconnector consists of a ground (pin 1), two wires for ‘primary’ communication(pins 2 & 3) which are usually used for going from a DMX source to a DMXreceiver. There are also two wires for a ‘secondary’ communication (pins 4& 5), where data can flow from a DMX receiver back to the source, thesecondary channel is not commonly used.
