Jenolite Rust Converter Epoxy Spray is a fast-acting rust treatment that converts rust into a stable, paint-ready surface. The advanced epoxy-based formula chemically reacts with rust to stop corrosion and forms a tough, self-priming coating ready for overpainting. Ideal for use on rusted metal surfaces including gates, railings, tools, garden furniture and automotive parts, this easy-to-apply spray eliminates the need to strip back to bare metal. Simply remove loose rust, apply directly to rusted areas and allow to dry before painting. Perfect for interior and exterior metal, this rust converter primer helps extend the life of steel and iron surfaces while preparing them for long-lasting topcoats.
- Treating Rust
- Remove all traces of oil or grease. Remove old paint and loose rust with steel wool or wire brush. 1. Prepare the surface Remove all loose dirt and debris from the area to be coated. If required, clean and thoroughly dry the area. Remove any previous surface coatings with a wire brush and abrasive paper. 2. Shake vigorously before use Apply from 15cm to 25cm in light coats. Do not flood. Apply lighter coats to avoid runs. Apply 2 or 3 light coats, allowing 15 minutes to dry in between coats. For the best results, ensure that the rusted surface is agitated with a wire brush or sandpaper before application. 3. Storage & Reuse On completion of use, invert can and depress actuator for a few seconds to prevent nozzle blockage. Store out of direct sunlight, in a cool well ventilated place.
