EquiGrass™ Professional Horse and Pony Paddock Grass Seed Mix (without Clover) An extremely durable, long term pasture mixture that has the benefit of either being grazed or otherwise cut for hay or haylage. Suitable for all soil types, this mix is characterised by its dense sward it is both hard-wearing and offers timely re-growth after cutting.

- Instructions for use: Get your timing right An increase in the soil temperature increases the speed. As a general rule of thumb the best months to sow grass seed mixtures in the UK are April, May, June, late August and September. July and August are fine with regards to soil temperature but can be dry months; that said if you have irrigation, or are happy to wait for rain then July and August can be good months to sow seed. Once rain falls, germination can be very rapid indeed and let’s face it we live in the UK, it could rain anytime and frequently does.

This mixture is carefully designed to contain no clover or tetraploid grasses in order to avoid any potential Laminitis or problems which can harm a horses digestive system. Key Species in this mix: • Perennial Ryegrass – Hardy and productive, principally grown for hay, haylage, silage and grazing owing to its persistent growth characteristics • Creeping Red Fescue – A very strong variety once established characterised by a deep rooting system. Very drought tolerant and thrives in the shade and in dry temperatures. Best started off in moist soil conditions. • Timothy – Best suited for both grazing and hay.
