The Milwaukee HSS Ground Cobalt Metal Drill Bit from ITS are incredibly durable and long lasting. The drill bit has been made from a solid, heat-resistant 5% cobalt-alloyed high speed steel produced according to DIN 338. This means that it is capable of drilling in the steels and metals with ease – even the tougher metals will be dealt with easily. In fact, the bit is capable of drilling into metals with tensile strengths over 1000 N/mm² like stainless steel. The drill bit utilizes a QUAD EDGE Tip which is a unique combination of 135° split point and four cutting edges. The 35° split point allows for precise, fast drilling start without walking or sliding across the material while the four cutting edges create smaller chips which in turn, prevents heat build up. Thanks to the variable flute geometry of the drill bit, debris and chips are removed faster. This allows for the bit to run cooler while preventing it from burn-outs. The enhanced tapered web and wider core toward the shank end of the bit strengthens the core resulting in better durability.
