The Milwaukee HSS Ground Cobalt Metal Drill Bit from ITS is incredibly durable and long lasting. The drill bit has been made from a solid, heat-resistant 5% cobalt-alloyed high-speed steel produced according to DIN 338. This means that it is capable of drilling in steels and metals with ease – even the tougher metals can be dealt with easily. In fact, the bit is capable of drilling into metals with tensile strengths over 1000 N/mm² like stainless steel.

The drill bit utilises a QUAD EDGE Tip, which is a unique combination of a 135° split point and four cutting edges. The 35° split point allows for precise, fast drilling start without walking or sliding across the material while the four cutting edges create smaller chips, which in turn prevents heat build-up. Thanks to the variable flute geometry of the drill bit, debris and chips are removed faster. This allows the bit to run cooler while preventing it from burn-outs. The enhanced tapered web and wider core toward the shank end of the bit strengthens the core, resulting in better durability.
